DECToverIP
DECT mobility in IP-based networks
The convergence of use for voice and data in one common infrastructure and network have revolutionized the PBX-market. Transmission of voice is now dominated by the Internet (IP). With OpenMobiltity IP the disadvantage of VoIP-networks for not having any form of mobility available is a thing of the past: the combination of DECToverIP and WLAN provide users with convenient voice- and data transmission convergence via IP-based networks. DeTeWe already presented at CeBIT 2003 as first manufacturer the complete DECT-integration in IP-infrastructure by connecting DECT-Radio-Fixed-Parts as well as VoIP-terminals to the IP-network. All advantages of DECT, in particular the quality of voice transmission, are in undiminished form supported by this solution. For ensuring blanket mobility, Aastra-DeTeWe combines the advantages of DECT and W-LAN and thus offers an allround mobility solution for voice and data. The ever growing demand for W-LAN is supported by the DECT-Radio-Fixed-Parts with integrated W-LAN Access Points.
